Communion (also called Eucharist or the Lord's Supper) recalls the Last Supper of Jesus with the disciples. It is a celebration and remembrance of God's grace and mercy in Jesus, of the resurrection of Christ, and of Christ's continuing presence with us.
Aztec Methodist Church normally practices communion on the first Sunday of every month. As United Methodists, we have an open table which invites everyone present (members and non-members) to join us at Christ’s table.
We serve grape juice in our communion cups as a recognition that some of members and visitors have addicition issues. It is an effort to support one another in our journeys of faith.
